An unmissable Museum housing real treasures: archeological finds, paintings from famous painters such as Caravaggio, Tiziano, Raffaello and Rubens, the sculptures by Bernini that literally leave you breathless. You will notice that the Villa itself is an artwork, with the vaults covered with frescoes and the floors enriched with ancient mosaics.
It was conceived in the early eighteenth century by cardinal Scipione Borghese, nephew of Pope Paul V and great art lover, to host his private collection, inside a park which is today the largest in the city.
After visiting the Gallery one can continue walking in the park to end at Terrazza del Pincio, one of the most famous panoramic points of the city with the view onto Piazza Del Popolo.
