To have not seen Rome at night, is not to see it at all. In the evening, you can admire the city while it drinks in the last warm tones of sunset and the roads empty themselves of crowds, especially in summer when walking in the cooled air is truly pleasant! It is a unique experience for those who visit Rome for the first time, but also for Romans who desire to discover a city completely transformed from its daytime appearances, revealing incredible charm and authenticity.
The walks we suggest can be personalised both in terms of the itinerary or the time of departure, even if you want to enjoy the light of the sunset, the evocative Roman lighting or -why not- the first light of sunrise.
Here we will walk through the most famous monuments of the city discovering the Rome of kings and emperors. We start from Piazza Venezia before heading up to Campidoglio with its beautiful square designed by Michelangelo.
From here, from a terrace with a breath-taking view of an archeological site of the Roman Forum, we will recount the legend of the mythical foundation of the city, before continuing our journey back in time through via dei Fori Imperiali up to the Colosseum. While the archeological sites and monuments are usually closed after sunset, their suggestive lighting makes this walk a truly unique experience.
With this tour you will be finally able to see the Trevi fountain emptied of tourists and to walk in an almost deserted Piazza Navona …you can even hear your footsteps in the alleys lightened by the warm light of street lamps, while we will tell you the incredible stories linked to the most powerful Roman families who, over the centuries, have given life to the city we admire today. An unmissable itinerary which includes the most famous sites of the historical centre like Piazza di Spagna, Trevi fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona.
This popular district with a deep, ancient history, once inhabited by merchants and foreigners, is today the primary protagonist of Rome’s lively nightlife; and yet where you can still breathe in, at the same time, the atmosphere of medieval Rome. Starting from Tiber Island we will cross the bridge of Ponte Cestio to discover the oldest part of the neighbourhood, from Piazza in Priscinula going through the church of Santa Cecilia until Piazza dei Mercanti. Getting lost in the picturesque alleys of the neighbourhood we will get to the square of Santa Maria in Trastevere, the heart of the district, for ending in Piazza Trilussa, just in front of the famous bridge Ponte Sisto.
