The tours that I offer can be of different types:
For joining a tour booking is required. You can send an email to the address: info@tourguideroma.com,
or filling the form you find in the schedule of each single tour or in the section “contacts”. I will contact you as soon as possible for confirming the booking and organizing the tour into details.
Especially during high season (and in other periods also) it can be very difficult to find tickets for museums or archeological sites which have limited entry. If you are therefore thinking about a private tour I would recommend you start planning it well in advance, so that there is sufficient time for us to put together an experience which goes beyond your expectations!
Usually the client buys them. However, if you prefer to enjoy the tour without having to worry about anything, I can do it for you! I While booking I will give you some indications regarding both options, so you can choose the one you prefer.
We know that Rome is a bustling city where navigating through traffic and the public transports is not easy…but if the guide can make it, you can make it too! A tour is organised following very precise timing, therefore it is important to start on time especially if there are entrance times to be respected. However unexpected events can happen, which is why we allow a grace period of ten minutes after the scheduled time. After those 10 minutes the group will have to start. If you are late let me know as soon as possible and we will try to find a solution so that you can reach us, but unfortunately it will not be possible to refund you in case you decide to renounce to no longer take part in the tour.
To ensure a great success of the tour and last but not least to preserve my vocal cords, the rental of disposable radios and earphones is expected in case the tour is made by more than 5 people, or in those particular circumstances where it is compulsory or suggested to use earphone (such as the Vatican Museum in the summer).
If you are in a private tour of less than 5 people but still want to experience the thrill of listening to your talented guide using some comfortable earphones, you can request this service while booking the tour.
Not all the itineraries suggested are suitable to people with disabilities or reduced mobility. In case there are specific needs in this sense, I invite you to contact me in order to verify the feasibility of the itinerary you are interested in, so that we can identify a personalized tour that can meet your specific needs.
While these tours have been mainly conceived with adults in mind, I always give special thought to the little ones, and make sure they will have moments of fun and participation during the tour. However, if you don’t want to risk transforming an amazing experience for you into something that your children may otherwise find less thrilling, I suggest you contact me to organize a private tour suitable for children. Keep in mind that some itineraries move through rough terrain or are not suitable for children in the pram or in general for children who are too little. In case you want to join a tour with some children I suggest you contact me before booking, in order to verify that the visit is suitable for them.
Come sun or rain, heat or cold: the tours will go on. Rest assured that our cultural heritage is beautiful in any circumstances! However don’t be unprepared: check the weather forecast and bring with you an umbrella for the rain and a hat for the sun!
Absolutely yes. I graduated in History of Art and Conservation of Artistic Heritage and I obtained the qualification as a tour guide in 2015.
According to the EU law 97/2013 (art.3) the qualification as a tour guide is valid throughout the territory of our beautiful country!
Prices depend on the type of tour and will be communicated each time. The amount will include the service for the tour and it never includes the cost of eventual entrance tickets for museums and cultural sites.
Yes. Museums and cultural sites have reopened following strict security protocols according to ministerial directives with limited admissions, check of the temperature at the entrance and sanitation of the environment. The radio and earphones we use are sanitized and tours are organised following the rules that we all know well now:
So long as we follow these simple instructions, we can still enjoy the beauty that surrounds us!
